I just didn’t get it. Way back in the Sixties it seemed that every spring my late husband, Ray, would go into ecstasy over the new models of cars. As soon as he could afford it he owned a 1963 Corvair, 1964 Corvair, and 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. He eventually moved on to sports cars, First it was a 1970 MG Midget but his ultimate love became a 1980 Mazda RX 7. By this time our middle daughter was attending college in Plattsburgh, New York. I could never understand why he could always find reasons to go visit her. He usually left Rochester, New York after work on a Friday evening. He eventually confessed to me later that he purposely took NY Route 3 because it snaked through the Adirondack Mountains just so he could discover how fast his car could go. His “fuzz-buster” was a very integral part of this operation.
